Keeping our beaches clean by cleaning up after your pet is greatly appreciated.
It may seem like we are stating the obvious when we say that our beaches, inlets and harbors are what make Nantucket Island a truly special place. For generations, islanders and visitors have enjoyed virtually unlimited access to all of Nantucket’s waterfront. But times are changing. Due to the rapid island growth, some parts of the island have begun to see “No Trespassing” and “Private Beach” signs posted. Happily, protecting and providing access to important waterfront areas is one vital part of the Land Bank’s mission. Today, some of the island’s most prized waterfront areas are managed by the Nantucket Islands Land Bank. Click to explore some examples.
