Lily Pond Park

The Land Bank acquired Lily Pond Park in 1986. Located just a short walk from downtown, this park offers a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of Main Street. The majority of this parcel is a wetland, which provides valuable habitat for many plants and animals. This wetland also plays an important role in our local water cycle, collecting and filtering water before it is rechanneled to the harbor. Our network of boardwalks allows visitors to meander through the wetland while leaving a minimal impact on this fragile and valuable ecosystem.

At each entrance to the park there is an expansive lawn with a serene sitting area, which is ideal for picnics, birdwatching, or playing tag!
