Preserving the Public Trust

Creeks on Nantucket

The holidays are a time of joy and family gatherings, but also a time of reflection and appreciation for what we have.

In a series of ads these last few months, the Land Bank has detailed its mission and accomplishments. We’ve now come full circle.

Conservation, recreation and agriculture for the benefit of the public in perpetuity.

For more than 30 years, the Land Bank has worked diligently to acquire, hold and manage key open spaces, provide waterfront access, preserve scenic views, protect environmental resources, promote local agriculture and create outdoor recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike.

The Land Bank now owns more than 3,100 acres in the public interest. We are humbled by the ongoing support of this community, and pledge to work hard to maintain that trust. This land is yours, and we take our role as public stewards seriously.

We value your opinion. Please stop by, call, or email us at:

May the joy of the holiday season be with you and your family.
